Key People

Overview

Organisations related to the congress and the people within them.

Key People

The Key People section tracks organisations related to the congress — sections, sponsors, national orthopaedic associations, and so on — and the people within each one, along with their role and responsibilities. Viewing requires the People - Browse policy; adding or editing key people requires People - Add.

Organisations

The Organisations list shows every organisation, with columns for Name, Short Name, and Type. It's searchable and can be filtered by type.

Opening an organisation shows its details — name, short name, abbreviation, type, email, phone, website, address, logo, and description — along with its Key People.

Key People on an organisation

Each key person entry links a Person record to that organisation with two organisation-specific fields:

  • Role — free text (e.g. "CEO", "Treasurer", "Event Coordinator")
  • Responsibilities — a free-text list of tags you build up one at a time (e.g. "budget", "sponsorship"), not a fixed list

To add a key person, use the Add Key Person action: search for an existing person or create a new one inline, then set their Role and Responsibilities. Removing a key person asks for confirmation first — this only removes them from the organisation, it doesn't delete the underlying person record.

People

A person record (name, title, qualifications, bio, photo, affiliations, country) is shared across every organisation they belong to and across the public program — their committee positions and session assignments all appear on their profile.

When creating a new person, you can set:

FieldNotes

QualificationsMulti-select, from the congress's configured options (e.g. "PhD")

Search Responsibilities

Use Search Responsibilities to find who's responsible for something across every organisation — for example, searching "sponsorship" or "registration". It matches against responsibilities, roles, person names, and organisation names, and links each result back to the relevant organisation.
